self/care //

Hailing from Vancouver, BC, self/care is a pop-rock band that leans heavily into its emo and pop-punk influences. Vocalist/bassist Jamie Cessford thematically centers the band on a nostalgic yearning and the perils of the passage of time. Supporting on vocals and leading instrumentally is guitarist Andrew Vivash, whose penchant for classic punk tendencies is rounded out by his commitment to pop music. Drummer Luke Scriver completes the trio with his energetic and dynamic rhythms while providing influence beyond radio rock and early 00s sentimentalism.
