Fauré’s “Requiem” and other music to acknowledge and honour those we have lost.

For many who grieve the loss of a loved one, music is inextricably linked with memory.  We may recall a favorite song or music to which we danced to. 

In the last few years, many of us have had losses we were unable to grieve publicly.

Richmond Orchestra and Chorus felt it was time to do our own recognition of this need to grieve, and we planned a program called IN MEMORIAM.  It will include music both sacred and secular, music of remembrance and of solemnity. 

We are encouraging everyone to offer the names of those that they have lost in these last few years, the names of their loved ones to be included in our program and remembered as we offer beautiful music in their memory.
