The Codas

The Codas are an alternative folk/rock band based in Kingston, Ontario. Their music is centered around rich harmonies, ambient guitar/violin work and captivating introspective lyricism. Since the release of their first EP Chasing Sun in 2019, they have immersed themselves in Ontario’s music scene, writing and performing music that reflects their passion for poetry, soundscapes and unapologetic emotional expression. They have been invited to play at festivals such as North by Northeast (NXNE), Skeleton Park Arts Festival and several music industry showcases, including ‘New Music Night’ at The Legendary Horseshoe Tavern. In 2024, they released two EPs: Is This Us (Factor funded, produced by Rob Baker of The Tragically Hip) and Live at the Isabel (Imagine Arts Incubator), both of which broke the top ten for CFRC radios Top Ten Album/Eps of 2024. The Codas are rooted in their sound and message, steadily making a name for themselves as a must see act.
