Live Acts Canada Presents

The Guatemala Water Project Fundraiser

The Semiahmoo Peninsula Rotaract club is hosting this concert fundraiser to raise money for the Guatemala Water Project!! A few of the club members are flying to Guatemala to install water catchment systems in a rural village in Barillas Guatemala.

These villagers currently have to walk 90min round trip to get 4 gallons of water from a stream. They then deposit the gathered water in a pool near their village to give them easy access. The issue is this is very unhealthy since the water becomes stagnant and will contain many pathogens.

The water catchment systems will help resolve this issue. We're really looking forward to helping with this project!

Wax Theatrics//

Vancouver-based, Wax Theatrics packs a punch with a blend of power and psychedelic pop. They aim to sonically and visually evoke the spirit of drama as a way of investigating the world we live in, and what it means to be human.

Wax Theatrics released its first full-length album in November 2019. The album was recorded at the historical Fader Mountain Sound Studio and produced by Darren Grahn, whose credentials include high-profile artists such as Metallica, Black Eyed Peas, Bon Jovi, and Motley Crew, as well as local artists, including Black Pontiac and Strange Breed.

No Gig Scheduled//

No Gig Scheduled is a 5 piece band from Vancouver, drawing inspiration from funk, pop, and jazz. We pride ourselves on our energetic live shows, danceable tracks, and Jack Zhao: the man who puts the 'ass' in bass. Come ready to party and get ready for an exciting evening.

Blueberry Jam//

While many were locked inside during the pandemic, our band Blueberry Jam hauled our amps outside in the dirt, to play rock on a blueberry farm.
On hot days we played for the tractors rolling by, almost running over the drum kit. Farmers sang along as we played Led Zeppelin, Hendrix, Deep Purple & Pink Floyd.

We want to share our music connection, in this divisive time. To show that you can find notes of joy in this changing, post-pandemic world. We’re old enough to have been through good times & bad times, and to know what really matters; That music is still the connector, in a time that can threaten to tear us apart.
